Strategic Intent of the Campaign

• Boral Timber Flooring required a point of sale display, that framed and complemented their Silkwood timber flooring range in a modern and contemporary fashion.

Solution Description

• The Boral timber flooring sales display was innovative in its design aesthetics. The concept of the display was to utilise modern/contemporary colours and forms which are complementary to the Silkwood range. The aesthetic goal of the display was to attract attention across store and really differentiate the brand from other timber flooring suppliers.
• The Boral display utilises custom metal hooks to allow easy access to samples for merchandisers and retailers. These hooks were developed to hold the timber flooring samples at an angle which minimised drop shadows and showed a large amount of the board. Keeping merchandisers in mind, the display has easy interchangeable posters, a4 brochures and text panels, this allows the display to be refreshed graphically or utilised for other Boral campaigns.
• Extensive prototyping and development of the Boral display was carried out to ensure the stability of the robust timber flooring samples, this was acheived through preliminary scale 1:1 drawings, consistent feedback and communication with Boral marketing team and a clear and concise brief from the begining.
• The Boral display was comprehensively packaged with timber flooring samples, posters and a4 brochures packed in a kit form. This ensured minimal labour from merchandisers, keeping costs and material handling low.

Results

• Boral has received excellant feedback from retailers regarding the display. Due to it's unique design the Boral display has had minimal resistance to it's installation instore.
